Farewell 2016 … Hello 2017!

From a seemingly endless election to the demise of some of our favorite celebrities, 2016 certainly had some rough moments. But it wasn’t all bad. 2016 was also a whirlwind of awesomeness here at Zoom. From building amazing new features to winning industry awards, we’ve been pretty busy. Let’s take a look at some of our greatest hits from 2016…

January

Zoom starts the year off with a bang by receiving Company of the Year recognition from Frost & Sullivan.

February

California State University case study released.

March

Zoom announces native Skype for Business interoperability and major new features for Zoom Rooms.

April

Zoom goes back to school and shows SaaSness who’s boss winning the championship. University of San Francisco video case study released.

July

Zoom promotes dongle modesty while scoring big with our customers: Tripp and Tyler (and Zoom!) release the Put Your Dongle Away, an important cinematic feat. Zoom scores an industry-leading net promoter score of 69. New case study with the University of Arizona completed.

August

Running and reading, Zoom spent August doing some self-improvement: Zoom runs the gauntlet for Wainhouse. We get recommended summer reading from CIOs.

September

Zoom received some public recognition for our general awesomeness and introduced virtual backgrounds: Zoom Video Webinars is a Leader in the Inflow webinars analysis. We make the Forbes Cloud 100 List. Then we turned everything up a notch with the introduction of Zoom virtual backgrounds!

October

No bones about it, October was an exciting month for new product features and record usage growth.

November

Zoom was thankful to garner leader recognition within the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Conferencing and we hosted awesome events with Internet2 and the Golden State Warriors.

December

Holly, jolly Zoom wrapped up the year with more analyst recognition and exciting customer news: Zoom scores 3 of all categories of the Gartner Critical Capabilities. Then we won Let’s Do Video Readers’ Choice Award for Best Pure Cloud Software Videoconferencing Service AND Best Webinar Solution. Next, long-time customer Project ECHO got the ECHO Act passed into law, spreading Zoom-enabled telehealth around the country!
