So You’ve Got a Zoom Account…Now What?

Congrats on your first Zoom account! We hope you’re enjoying your glorious HD video meetings. It’s possible though, that you haven’t fully unlocked the power of Zoom. Here are a couple key tips that will help you make the most of Zoom!

1. Explore Zoom.

Start a meeting, click around, try screen sharing, recording, annotating, chat, in-meeting settings, and so forth. Schedule a meeting. Invite someone to your Zoom IM. Then sign into your account at to check on your settings and turn on some cool, slightly-hidden free features like our video filter and virtual backgrounds (the latter requires a green screen).

2. Zoom On-the-Go.

3. Schedule Faster.

The fastest and easiest way to schedule your Zoom meetings is to use our free plug-in for your existing calendaring system. With our plug-ins, you schedule your meeting as usual, and then just click “Make it a Zoom Meeting” to add all the Zoom info into your invite. It’s a snap!

4. Consider a Zoom Pro account.

If you’ve signed up for a Zoom Basic/Free account, you could consider upgrading to Zoom Pro. Zoom Pro has a lot to offer, starting with unlimited meetings and minutes with up to 100 video participants (Zoom Basic times out group meetings at 40 minutes, though 1-1 meetings are unlimited).
