Salesforce Integrator Traction on Demand Takes Best-of-Breed Approach to Communications Over ‘Bundled’

Leveraging best-of-breed vs. bundled

ToD received offers for video conferencing solutions from other SaaS providers it had worked with in the past. However, the organization implemented Zoom based on the seamless user experience it could provide and ToD’s dedication to leveraging best-of-breed solutions. 

“We’ve used Office 365 and G-Suite products, so we got plenty of offers from those providers to add on their video conferencing solution as part of a ‘bundle’,” Wood said. “But at ToD, we always use tools that are best-of-breed, not just the ones that come bundled with other products. Zoom integrates well with Salesforce, which was obviously big for us, and Zoom offers a seamless set of features that is easy to use and allows people to do their jobs.” 

Seamless transition to a work-from-home environment

Although the transition to a work-from-home environment due to COVID-19 has posed a significant challenge to organizations around the world, ToD used Zoom to seamlessly transfer its workforce to a remote environment without a loss in productivity, going from 0 to 1.1 million meeting minutes over Zoom in just four months.  

“We got the email from our CEO near the end of the day letting us know everyone would start working remotely the following day, so the transition happened really quickly,” Wood said. “But we all just went home and started working over Zoom, and it was an amazing transition. We didn’t miss a beat.” 

“We have a ton of data from our product bettr.me, which tracks employee sentiment and productivity, and we found that we were able to increase employee productivity from home while maintaining that positive employee sentiment,” Peacock said. “And the ability to do that overnight was really important to our success during that time.”

Unified and frictionless communications 

ToD was able to leverage Zoom Phone, Zoom Video Webinars, and Zoom Meetings to create an effective, easily managed communications infrastructure and meet all of its communications needs while its employees were working remotely. 

“We’ve been using Zoom Phone on our mobile phones to interact with a lot of our customers because not every customer wants to interact over video,” Peacock said. 

“We also set up a call queue for our salespeople using Zoom Phone so calls are automatically distributed to our sales teams, which allows them to work from anywhere,” Wood added. “We’re also using Zoom Video Webinars for our town halls and quarterly meetings with the company because we can interact with everyone through Q&A and give them access to the leadership team.”
