Check out our newest case: The Apractis Clinic and the Healing Power of Zoom, which focuses on the healthcare industry.
Founded by Neurologist Dr. Andrew Barbash, The Apractis Clinic seeks to facilitate collaboration in healthcare environments and connect patients and doctors to help them make the most of technology currently available in their organizations.
Barbash and three other medical professionals – Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) See, Dr. Robert Smith and Brian Larsen, RN – form the Apractis team. They spread the practices of next-generation collaboration in the healthcare industry.
The clinic’s website revolves around Zoom Video Communications and sets itself up with an innovative concept. People who want to consult with Barbash, See, or Larsen simply go to the site, visit its virtual front desk, and set up a meeting. The team has a virtual Zoom meeting room to speed up the process of getting face time with doctors and patients. Dr. Barbash explained, “We have created a framework where people can just click and arrange meetings through the site.”
Their decision to use Zoom was motivated by a need to establish a very efficient and time-saving workflow model for video conferencing. They wanted to get face-to-face without any bells and whistles getting in the way of a meeting. “We decided to use Zoom because at the moment someone says, ‘Hey, I need to meet,’ there can’t be technological issues to deal with,” said Dr. Barbash. “We have found Zoom to be a phenomenal product in this regard.”
Apractis is just one of many use cases for Zoom in the healthcare industry. Learn more about Zoom and Healthcare.
