We’re excited to visit Denver, Colorado for the 2013 WCET Connect Annual Conference tomorrow through November 15. WCET focuses on various education topics. This year’s themes are: competency based learning, open online courses and mobile learning. Given our emerging status as a leading provider to universities seeking to enhance their online and mobile offerings, WCET is a perfect place to spread the news about Zoom.
Here are our 5 favorite things to see and do at WCET this year:
On Friday, November 15, 9:15 am to 2:45 pm, join us for a Video Platform Sandbox. Institutional users, as well as Zoom’s own Head of Product Nick Chong, will discuss providing a synchronous platform for delivering lectures and connecting students. This presentation can help you answer questions such as, “How do I figure out which platform is best for my university?” and “Which technology has the lowest costs?” The sandbox, which will take place in the prefunction area near registration, is open to all attendees.
During the two 30-minute breaks on Thursday, check out the Expo, where you can meet with poster presenters, WCET members and event sponsors.
Would you like to gain a deeper understanding about a certain aspect of education technology? Check out these in-depth sessions, which feature experts from universities throughout the country:
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, so play hooky (we won’t tell!) and check out the Mythbusters exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Hailing from the Bay Area (just like Zoom), the Mythbusters exhibit lets you bust some common urban myths for yourself. Learn more and buy tickets here.
If you’d like to learn more about Zoom or how to implement or improve synchronous technology in your institution, meet up with Nick Chong, Zoom’s Head of Product, for a coffee or a beer. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org and he’ll take it from there.
