Take a look at our new video case study on Uber! Shobhana Ahluwalia, Uber’s head of information technology, talks about how Zoom has been an integral part of Uber’s workflows.
Uber is a logistics and technology company most famous for their peer-to-peer ridesharing, food delivery, and transportation network services. With over 15,000 employees in more than 400 offices spread across 70+ countries, Uber heavily relies on video communications in their workflows. “There is really no other way to collaborate and communicate other than a great video conferencing solution, and we use Zoom,” says Ahluwalia.
Zoom has been used by Uber for over three years, and most importantly, has had no trouble supporting Uber’s modern mobile workforce. “We like that anybody on the go can use it. We have a very mobile workforce and we don’t want to be tied down to just offices. We are everywhere, so it’s very important to have the most easy way to go and start meetings,” says Ahluwalia.
Uber also uses Zoom Rooms, Zoom’s software-based conferencing room solution, to connect remote and on-location employees in meeting spaces. “How many [Zoom Rooms] have I deployed? More than 1,500. How many people use it? More than 15,000. Where do they use it from? Everywhere,” says Ahluwalia.
