Zoom has once again been named a leader in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Meeting Solutions. Gartner evaluated 13 meeting solutions vendors for 2018, assessing each on both ability to execute and completeness of vision. You can read the full report here.
This year Zoom has continued its incredible growth and has achieved significant market share relative to our competitors, with a healthy financial performance and solid distribution. Zoom now has 13 global data centers, as well as a presence in the US, UK, France, Australia, China, Japan, and elsewhere. Zoom has also had growing adoption in large enterprise with companies like Walmart and Delta Air Lines switching to Zoom for video communications.
Zoom offers a robust, scalable set of video communications capabilities designed for ease of use from desktop clients, conference rooms, and mobile devices. With a wide range of features, Zoom customers are able to move to one platform for internal and external communications, trainings, town hall meetings, digital signage, video webinars, and more. Our innovation is leading the market with over 200 features released last year. Last year we were the first to introduce speech-to-text recording transcripts, and we have unique meeting features like virtual backgrounds and being able to share a video with audio directly from a URL.
Of course, what we are most focused on is delivering customer happiness. It is imperative that every customer has a reliable, quality video experience that is easy to use from any device, anywhere. The video difference with Zoom should not be overlooked. Our customers experience an 85% increase in video usage when they switch to Zoom. And the crystal clear VoIP audio is easy to use and provides huge cost savings over traditional audio conferencing solutions. VoIP is used six-times more than telephony in Zoom meetings.
“We are very happy to receive this recognition from Gartner and to be placed in the Leaders quadrant again,” said Eric S. Yuan, Zoom’s founder and CEO. “Millions of people use Zoom every day and know that Zoom is the leader in meeting solutions. This is evident in our industry-leading NPS score of 71, our viral user growth, and our 40+ billion annual meeting minutes. We will continue to work hard, first and foremost, to deliver happiness to our customers. We are gratified that Gartner has recognized our vision and execution.”
Earlier this year Zoom was named a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Meeting Solutions. Enterprise professionals contributed their firsthand experience of vendors and products through the various stages of the IT lifecycle, from evaluation through deployment. As of today, Zoom, with 4.7/5 stars and 2400+ reviews, has the highest overall rating in its category among vendors with more than 11 reviews.
Recognition from Gartner and its end-user community comes on the heels of numerous other achievements for Zoom thus far in 2018. Yuan was named Entrepreneur of the Year® for the Northern California region by Ernst & Young and earned the spot of #1 large company CEO in the US in the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards. Zoom won the Gold Stevie® Award for Large Computer Software Company of the Year, rAVe’s Best of InfoComm 2018 Award in three categories, and Frost & Sullivan’s Asia-Pacific Cloud Video Collaboration Provider of the Year.
