Frost & Sullivan Again Honors Zoom as Cloud Video Collaboration Provider of the Year in Asia-Pacific

Zoom has been recognized by Frost & Sullivan with the Asia-Pacific Cloud Video Collaboration Provider of the Year Award at the 2019 Best Practices Awards. These annual awards honor and recognize organizations that continue to raise the bar on excellence in Asia-Pacific. This is the second year in a row Zoom has earned the award.

Zoom received the 2019 Asia-Pacific Cloud Video Collaboration Provider of the Year Award based on its superior leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development in Asia-Pacific markets. Zoom has made significant investments to expand its global footprint, particularly in Asia. The company opened its Japan office in 2018 and plans to double the staff to more than 50 by the end of 2019 to better serve its customers and partners in APAC. Zoom also has seen a significant increase in the number of users in Australia and New Zealand.

Krishna Baidya, Director of ICT Practice — APAC at Frost & Sullivan, said: “Hailing Zoom’s customer centricity, its ability to understand local customer needs and deliver a hassle-free video solution, an impeccable standard of service across vast sectors, and a growth that far outpaces its competition in the region, Frost & Sullivan is happy to recognize Zoom as the recipient of Asia-Pacific Cloud Video Collaboration Provider of the Year.”

Recipients of the annual Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards are identified based on in-depth research conducted by Frost & Sullivan’s analysts. Nominated companies are then evaluated on a variety of market performance indicators, including revenue growth, market share, and growth in market share, and leadership in product innovation, marketing strategy, and business development strategy. The award categories are carefully reviewed each year to reflect the current market landscape and include new, emerging trends.

In addition to numerous partnerships with devices and best-of-breed applications, Zoom has established a wide geographical reach to provide cost-effective, scalable, and flexible solutions that enable knowledge workers to collaborate. Baidya said it’s Zoom’s commitment to a consistent user experience is what differentiates the company in the thriving unified communications as a service (UCaaS) market.

“Zoom’s unwavering focus on making video communications simple and frictionless hits a chord among users across organizations irrespective of size and location,” he said. “While the cloud, mobile, and AI revolution has changed user expectations of enterprise collaboration services, Zoom has upped the ante on innovation and enhancing user experience (UX). The single-platform approach to offering its portfolio of cloud services bodes well for Asia-Pacific customers.

Baidya added: “The localization of Zoom’s offerings to best-suit customer needs, especially in China, Japan, and India, has helped the provider achieve yet another year of remarkable growth and established it as a formidable collaboration service provider in the region.”
