Zoom Expands to Smart Displays at Home
Zoom from home using Portal from Facebook, Amazon Echo Show, and Google Nest Hub Max
Working from home just got simpler. You’ll soon be able to use Zoom at home on your smart display as part of our Zoom for Home program, making interactive video meetings as easy as the touch of a button or the sound of your voice.
We’re excited to support some of the most widely used smart displays, including Amazon Echo Show, Portal from Facebook, and Google Nest Hub Max, so you can connect by video to colleagues, family, and friends with ease.
Zoom on Portal will be publicly available in September; Zoom on Amazon Echo Show and Zoom on Nest Hub Max will be available late fall 2020.
The new work-from-home reality
With 42% of the U.S. labor force working from home full time, businesses can maintain their competitive edge by finding ways to increase productivity, enhance efficiency, and enable collaboration. With Zoom on your favorite smart display, you can connect with colleagues to work smarter together, using features like whiteboarding, content sharing, and co-annotation.
As a Zoom Meetings user, all you’ll need to do is log in to one of our supported smart displays and integrate your calendar, status, and meeting settings. You’ll have access to all the tools you need to personalize your home office experience.
Smart displays for your Zoom for Home experience
Ready to turn your home office into an immersive virtual workspace? Choose the smart display that will power your work environment and enable face-to-face meetings and collaboration at a moment’s notice.
Zoom on Portal
Bring one-touch “join meeting” features to all your Zoom meetings with Zoom on Portal from Facebook. Portal’s Smart Camera technology automatically keeps you in frame, making camera controls simple for immersive video calls. Zoom will be rolling out to Portal from Facebook in select regions in September.
Zoom on Amazon Echo Show
With Zoom on Echo Show, customers will be able to access high-quality meeting experiences by simply saying, “Alexa, join my Zoom meeting.” And, if you’ve linked your calendar in the Alexa app, Alexa will automatically start your scheduled meeting entirely hands-free without you needing to know your meeting ID or passcode. Zoom will be rolling out to Amazon Echo Show devices in the U.S. later this year, beginning with Echo Show 8.
Zoom on Nest Hub Max
Google Nest Hub Max’s smart camera with Face Match displays your relevant information, like upcoming Zoom meetings. And with Google Calendar and Google Assistant integration, joining is as easy as saying, “Hey Google, join my Zoom meeting.” Zoom will be rolling out to Nest Hub Max later this year.
