Zoom for Government Achieves DoD Impact Level 4 (IL4) Authorization to Operate with Conditions (ATO-C) from the Department of the Air Force
We are proud to announce that Zoom for Government has received Authorization to Operate with Conditions (ATO-C) for Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level 4 (IL4) from our service sponsor: Department of the Air Force. This represents an important milestone, as it permits, with conditions, the use of Zoom for Government at Impact Level 4 throughout the Department of the Air Force.
The Air Force’s ATO-C approval allows for internet-facing IL4 collaboration and communication, which extends the Air Force’s capability to interact with other federal agencies, system integrators, and contractors, as well as other mission partners. The conditions outlined in the ATO-C provide the guidelines and settings for initiating and maintaining an IL4 meeting.
The Air Force ATO-C allows for IL4 collaboration and communication via Zoom for Government meetings for content involving Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and For Official Use Only (FOUO).
Although it is designed for federal agencies, Zoom for Government is also available to U.S. state and local government customers and approved contractors that support their mission. Zoom for Government leverages the AWS GovCloud infrastructure and U.S.-based co-located data centers.
Today’s Air Force ATO-C IL4 announcement builds on Zoom’s ongoing commitment to support the U.S. Federal Government and allow it to securely communicate. We are honored to be a trusted partner for communication, collaboration, and continuity of operations across the Federal Government. Since early 2019, Zoom for Government has been authorized at the FedRAMP Moderate Level. Zoom for Government also supports FIPS 140-2 cryptography, HIPAA, and 300+ NIST controls.
