Does your company use Microsoft? So do many of our customers. They love using Zoom for the great video meeting experience and because Zoom integrates seamlessly into the Microsoft environment. Here are a few ways that Zoom works with Microsoft’s product suite to improve productivity and empower users.

Microsoft Teams

With the Zoom integration for Microsoft Teams, available on our App Marketplace, users can schedule and start Zoom Meetings as well as wirelessly share content directly in the Teams environment through the Zoom Meetings tab, which can be pinned to the persistent left navigation by your account admin. The “Availability” feature within the Zoom Meetings tab finds times when all attendees are available and automatically presents those times to the meeting host. Now, having meetings where everyone is on video is part of your daily workflow. You can even add external participants to a meeting invite sent using the Zoom tab. 

And that’s not all! Zoom soon will allow Teams Rooms users to join Zoom meetings and Zoom Rooms users to join Teams meetings, all without purchasing additional licenses or third-party services. 

Microsoft Outlook 

One of the most popular Zoom integrations is the Outlook Add-In that allows users to schedule meetings with one click from the Outlook environment. The Add-In, which lives in the Outlook ribbon, will automatically apply settings from your previous meeting without any additional configuration required. Scheduling conference rooms for your meeting is easy when you set your conference rooms as an Outlook calendar resource. 

Administrators can also perform an account-level sync of the end user’s contacts and calendars. By connecting this sync to Single Sign-On workflows, end users can automatically see their calendar events and contact directory within Zoom application, just by signing in.

Microsoft OneDrive

With the OneDrive integration, users can share and upload a file directly with other participants in the meeting without sharing their screens and the distractions that come with it. To share a file, users can simply click “Share file” in the meeting client, select OneDrive, and choose the file within OneDrive that they wish to share. Users also can upload files from OneDrive to both in-meeting and persistent chat experiences within Zoom.

Microsoft Azure AD 

Zoom’s integration with Microsoft Azure allows system administrators to easily provision and de-provision users with Zoom licenses. Administrators simply select which users need Zoom licenses, and those users are given access to the solution as soon as they sign in with Azure. And after users leave the company, administrators can seamlessly remove user licenses. 

Coming soon, Zoom will automatically port employee information from Azure AD into the Zoom platform, allowing you to see important information for co-workers, like alternative phone numbers, their department, who they report to, and more.

Microsoft Intune

The Zoom-Intune integration allows administrators to remotely configure the Zoom app on mobile devices, making it easier to promote and manage Bring Your Own Device initiatives and make these devices more secure. For instance, if an employee loses their personal device with sensitive information on it, system administrators can use Intune to wipe that information from the Zoom app. Available for iOS and Android.
