Zoom Supports NPower as a Technology Partner

NPower is a non-profit organization that creates pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. In today’s economy, more than half of all jobs require some degree of technology and digital skills. However, the market isn’t keeping up the pace.

Of the nearly 6 million jobs expected to require tech skills in the future, labor statistics project a qualified candidate pool of only 3.2 million. NPower helps fill this gap by preparing a diverse workforce for jobs and creating ways into the digital economy for all people, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic background.

Zoom is supporting NPower in its mission as a technology partner. This technology partnership was spearheaded by Harry Moseley, chief information officer for Zoom, and Bertina Ceccarelli, chief executive officer of NPower.

“NPower offers their newly trained tech talent opportunities to connect with corporate employers and volunteers located outside of their city or state,” said Moseley. “In many ways, it’s a new solution for the tech labor shortage problem across the US. The use of Zoom enables NPower graduates to interview with employers anywhere, anytime from any device.”

“Through this relationship, students and graduates will have the opportunity to host or listen in on webinars, teach or join online courses, and hold video meetings with thousands of participants. Ultimately, this represents a new and empowering era for NPower, our students and alumni,” said Ceccarelli.
