Spotlight on Zoomtopia 2019: Win an Innovation Award & Walmart Returns
Our third annual Zoomtopia user conference is fast-approaching, and we wanted to highlight a few cool happenings surrounding the event, scheduled for Oct. 15 and 16 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.
Share your Zoom story, win free passes
Over the past year, Zoom has been amazed to learn all the innovative ways our customers are using Zoom products. Whether you’re using Zoom to survey local fire damage, lead virtual outdoor excursions, start a new company, or simply improve workplace productivity, we are inspired by your innovative spirit! And thus, the Zoomtopia Innovation Awards were created as a way to learn about and showcase your creative applications. We love our customers and can’t wait to see how you all are changing the world with Zoom.
What are the Zoomtopia Innovation Awards?
The Zoomtopia Innovation Awards are a video submission contest aimed at highlighting your stories. We created this initiative as a way to show our gratitude for the amazing ways our customers are using Zoom. All Zoom users are invited to participate and to share a 1-to-2-minute video submission explaining how you are using Zoom. All submissions will be eligible to win awards in a number of categories, including most creative use case and greatest environmental impact.
How do I submit?
You can submit your 1-to-2-minute video by visiting the Zoomtopia Innovation Awards page. We also encourage you to share your videos on Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn using #Zoomtopia19. Videos can be simple explanations or elaborate productions; both are valid! The deadline for submissions is Friday, Aug. 30.
What are the prizes?
A panel of Zoom judges will review all video submissions and select winners that embody innovation, inspiration, and creativity. Winners in the categories of most creative, greatest environmental impact, greatest social impact, and best Zoom Room will be recognized at Zoomtopia Oct. 15-16 in San Jose.
Additionally, Zoom’s panel of judges will select three overall winners that will each receive two complimentary tickets to Zoomtopia, be announced on stage, and be featured in a blog post showcasing how you are using Zoom. We are grateful to have you as loyal Zoom customers and can’t wait to view your video submissions! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any additional questions.
Retail giant returns
A lot of businesses might talk about “designing a modern workforce” or “building the workplace of the future,” but Walmart is actually doing it using Zoom! Walmart returns to Zoomtopia for a second straight year to share its journey in deploying Zoom and how the company is further teaming with Zoom to build a workplace that enables its employees and supports its critical business goals.
Hear from Walmart’s digital workplace, voice, and video experts on their UX philosophy and learn why its teams have adopted a product mindset to improve communications across Walmart’s global ecosystem of customers and employees. Guest speakers from Walmart include:
- Carlos Alvarez, UC and AV engineering manager for Voice, Video & Digital Signage
- Nick Dowd, senior product manager of Voice and Video Infrastructure
- Sue Pawlishen, principal technical program manager for Global Voice Video Communications
And in case you missed it, the theme of Zoomtopia 2019 is “Out of this World” and will explore innovation, progress, and the future of communications over two jam-packed days with deep-dive learnings, inspirational gatherings, Zoom partner experiences, and happy surprises.
